Dispatch and Shipping Information
Orders made through the website are all handcrafted and made to order. Due to the highly personalised and bespoke nature of our products, please allow a 7 WORKING DAYS turnaround time before your item will be dispatched. Your selected shipping time will also be on top of this time frame. NB. Working days are calculated Monday to Friday and does not include bank holidays. Any orders made after 5pm on any given day will be classed as the next working day.
During busy periods, such as Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, Father's Day (to name few), we sometimes will open orders earlier, and will not start dispatching orders containing these products until a later date. We will always pop a note on our home page, and on each product page to warn you of this timescale. However, if you do require your order prior to the advised dispatch date, please just contact us and we will endeavour to get your order out to you as soon as we can (sometimes this may not always be possible though).
During the hot weather season, we strongly advise that you select Tracked24 postage, and pop an address where you know someone will be in to accept the order.
Beautiful hot sunny days are usually something we all long for but since becoming a chocolatier I no longer can say the same. Such days are my nemesis when making and sending chocolate in the post. When the weather is particularly hot we may take the decision to delay sending your order to avoid you receiving puddles of chocolate in a box (it will still be tasty but will not look very appetising). We will always keep you informed if we decide to take this action via our website and social media pages.
We strongly advise that during the hot weather season you choose Tracked24 postage to avoid your order being kept in hot vans/stockrooms with the Royal Mail.
We always label your order with instructions to keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources so that the risk of melting is minimised further when being transported to you.
Your order is also kept chilled until collection from our premises.
PLEASE NOTE COCOAIMES DOES NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR CHOCOLATE MELTING AS THE WEATHER IS OUT OF OUR CONTROL. WE DO TRY TO PREVENT THIS OCCURING AS BEST WE CAN. IN THE EVENT OF YOUR ORDER ARRIVING MELTED WE WILL OFFER TO REPLACE YOUR ORDER OR A GIFT VOUCHER TO THE VALUE OF YOUR ORDER. NO REFUNDS WILL BE OFFERED.
Pre-orders for future weeks are also welcome. There is a dispatch date box at the checkout page where you can confirm a future dispatch date you would like.
If you want your order to be dispatched at the earliest opportunity please put ASAP in the dispatch date box at the checkout.
*Please note we reserve the right to close our order books if we have hit our full capacity.
At CocoAimes, postage and packaging starts at a standard flat rate of £4.50 for Royal Mail Tracked48 (2 -3 working days) regardless of how much you order. Other postal upgrade's are available for a fee, please see below.
At present we are only able to deliver to the UK (including Highlands, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man). Please note orders delivered to the Channel Islands or Isle of Man may be subject to delays due to custom checks.
Please note Royal Mail do not deliver on Sundays, Public Holidays or Bank Holidays and due to Coronavirus some of their services may be disrupted.
As standard we offer Royal Mail Tracked48 or Tracked24 services to send your order.
The reason for using Tracked48 or Tracked24 services is so we can track your order from dispatch to delivery, and you can receive SMS or email notifications for each step of the way (please make sure you pop your contact details in at the checkout to enable the updates to be sent to you). Also should anything happen to your order, we are able to sort it out much faster with the tracking method.
Tracked48 – Royal Mail aims to deliver in two to three working days (after dispatch) - £4.50
Tracked24 – Royal Mail aims to deliver the next working day (after dispatch) - £4.95 - this is not the same as Guaranteed Next Day Delivery
Should you wish for Guaranteed Next Day Delivery, please contact us prior to making your order, and we will provide an invoice for the same. Please note your item will still be need to be made and therefore your order will not be with you the next day after making the purchase but the next day from the dispatch date.
